PouchWise (“PouchWise,” “we,” “us”) is an iOS app that helps you taper off and quit nicotine pouches. We built PouchWise to be private by default. This policy explains what little data the app handles and why.
Everything you create in PouchWise (your pouch logs, taper plan, dependence score, streaks, pledge and settings) is stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData). We do not have access to it.
If you turn on iCloud sync, your PouchWise data is synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) so it stays consistent across your devices. This data lives in your personal iCloud and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot see or access it.
To understand which features help people quit and to fix problems, we collect anonymous, aggregated product-analytics events (for example: which screens are viewed and which features are used) through PostHog, processed on EU servers. These events are tied only to a random, app-generated identifier.
We also run ads for PouchWise. So that we can tell which ads actually bring people who want to quit, and stop paying for the ones that do not, install and subscription events are measured through AppsFlyer. This uses Apple’s own privacy-preserving attribution (SKAdNetwork and the AdServices token) together with an anonymous, app-generated device identifier.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos, or the contents of your personal logs. We do not track you across other apps or websites, PouchWise does not use Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and we never share your data with data brokers or with advertising networks for their own targeting.
PouchWise offers an auto-renewing subscription. All payments are processed by Apple, so we never see or store your payment-card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status (active, expired, restored). This involves an anonymous subscriber identifier and your subscription’s status, not your payment information.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
PouchWise relates to a nicotine product and is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age required to purchase nicotine products in their region.
